Lucio Gonzalez, PMHNP

Lucio is a graduate of both Lehman College and Hunter College of Nursing where he received his Master's degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner and Post-Master's Advanced Certificate in Psychiatric-Mental Health NursePractitioner. Lucio has over 10 years of experience managing theco-occurring disorders of Substance Use and Psychiatric illness having worked in a wide range of in-patient and out-patient settings. In his role as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, Lucio assesses, diagnoses, and treats substance use disorders and psychiatric illness and when appropriate, can coordinate (with your primary care provider) comprehensive medication management of other co-occurring medical needs. Lucio is devoted to his work as a caring and supportive medical and psychiatric professional for patients with anxiety, alcoholism, opioid use disorders, depression, men's health issues, sleep disorders, and attention/hyperactivity disorders among many other conditions. Lucio's focused holistic approach to meeting the emotional and medical needs of his patients is demonstrated by the respect, dignity, and compassion he has for the healing process and recovery journey. He provides a friendly, one-on-one private and confidential environment to begin the recovery and treatment process using evidence-based treatments for addiction and psychiatric illnesses. He will collaborate with you -meet you where you are in your journey and work with you to identify the key physical, psychological, and social experiences that have played a role in your illness. Lucio is a friend of the LGBTQA+ community and is fluent in Spanish and English.
