Ms. Penny is a Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who obtained her degree from Adelphi University. She is passionate about helping her clients achieve their mental health goals and live their best lives. KerryAnn has a strong understanding of mental health disorders and is able to effectively diagnose and treat them. She assists her patients in pursuing healing by conducting comprehensive psychiatric assessments and focusing on her client's interpretation of optimal health.
She has worked in the field of nursing for over 11 years and is skilled in the perioperative, intensive care unit, and behavioral health field. She has worked in a variety of settings such as residential treatment, inpatient hospitals, and outpatient community mental health centers where she has worked with children, adolescents, and adult patients. She treats a wide range of mental health conditions, including anxiety and depressive disorders, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia and psychosis, sleep disorders, and PTSD.
Ms. Penny believes the patient-provider relationship is one that develops with trust and understanding. She comes into each new patient session without background influence and will meet you exactly where you are, in order to help you learn and grow in your mental health journey.
During your first appointment, you will meet with Ms. Penny for up to sixty minutes for a full psychiatric evaluation. At the end of your new patient evaluation, you will be scheduled for your first follow-up session. Follow-up sessions last up to twenty minutes and are scheduled based on your symptoms and the length of time needed to appropriately address your concerns.
